October Virtual Sketch Date

"3 Pears"

4 1/2 x 6"

Neocolor II and colored pencil

Here is my offering for this month's collaborative sketch date known as VSD (Virtual Sketch Date). Check it out and all the wonderful artists who participate.

This month I decided to exaggerate the reference photo and use a more chromatic pallet using MiTeints red paper, Neocolor II watersoluable crayons and colored pencil to finish the detail.

Nice work Rhonda, obviously the colours are powerful but the forms are still strong. Very vivid.

Beautiful I love the colors, I think this is what I was trying to do. Maybe I will try again with more a more blended color approach. I was using my watercolor as if it were acrylic, very thick with little water. Any way your pears are wonderful

Love these colors. Have fun on the cruise. I went on one to Alaska with Ann and it was great.

I love how you changed the colors in this to such vibrant ones. It changes the whole flavor of the piece. Your new figurative series is also great!
