200 Posts!

This is my 200th post since I started blogging in Feb, 2007. Blogging has been very good for me: I've made some fantastic connections with other artists around the world; I've sold some of my art; and I've been asked to teach some classes and workshops both about my work and about getting started on blogging.
But I've found that the most important thing that has come from blogging has proven to be a boost to my credibility as a working artist and one who is committed to her craft. I must say, that because of the positive feedback and interactions with other artists and readers, I have a much stronger feeling of confidence in my work. That is HUGE for anyone who works primarily alone day in and day out. You can only get so many "atta girls" from your family and friends; but those from you guys carry a lot of weight.
Thank you, readers! Wouldn't have made 200 without you.

Hi Rhonda,

Congrats on your 200th post. I've actually been a follower of your blog and an admirer from afar of your work for a few months now. I saw your work at the High Road Gallery colored pencil show, it was excellent.

I recently started a blog, http://amorbitzer.blogspot.com/, which features a colored pencil piece I just finished. As a new artist, if you have a moment, I would love your feedback!

Congrats again on your work.

Having just started this art blogging myself, initally I was fairly nervous about it as I didn't know what the reaction would be to my work. Congrats on your 200 post and your art! My word, you are really talented. I love the way you capture, express and then deliver the humanity in your people portraits. The Bolovian lady is spectaular. Well done and here's to 200,000 more more posts.

I just found your blog, and it's been an amazing tour for me!
The amount of details you put into each drawing is just astounding! And I really admire you patience in putting layers and layers of colors into each one of them. :)
I'll keep following your blog and try to learn from you

200 posts...incredible! It'll be a while before I get there. Your post is encouraging to those of us who are just starting out...and your artwork is simply beautiful! I've visited before and must have enjoyed my visit, but it's been a little while. I have you on my list of favs. Glad I came back!!! Love your work!

Rhonda ... we met at the Container Store last week and you helped me with so many choices and I really appreciated it. I've just visited your blog and seen your artwork ... you are a very talented artist! Love lots of your work. I think I'll sign up on your blog in case you start blogging again and there are updates. And again, thanks for your help at the store. Mary Beth Ingram
