Bolivian Lady Final

Bolivian Lady
colored pencil
14 x 18"

Well, it's finally finished! This piece took a very long time to complete but it was a labor of love being that I just recently returned from Bolivia.
This is one of my submissions to the CPSA International Show in Atlanta this year. Last year I did not get any of my work accepted which was a huge disappointment, but I must admit it encouraged me to work that much harder this year. I really like shows that are difficult to get into, because when you do, you know you have truly achieved something. (And I would be lying if I said I didn't care about achieving that goal this year!)
Good luck to all of you who are entering. Hope to see you in Atlanta.

Stunngingly beautiful, Rhonda. I can't imagine this not being accepted into the CPSA exhibition. I hope to be able to see it in person.

Good luck in Atlanta. If you aren't accepted, then the jurors are crazy! :-) Thanks for sharing your art online. I probably wouldn't be able to see it otherwise.

Rhonda, this piece is fantastic as usual. This is Katie Westbrook, Yvonne Westbrook's daughter, and you helped me out with my wall mural. I've been meaning to write to you, but time seems too juct fly by and I have been busy with college apps and such. But, I did want to let you know that I will be attending CCAD in the fall, they gave me a nice scholarship as well! How are you doing by the way? The last I had heard you did a colored pencil course on a cruise line!
